AZ Courts: Making a Payment is the official door. The sites around it, often not.

AZ Courts: Making a Payment (azcourts.gov) is Arizona's real online ticket payment system, run by Arizona Judicial Branch. The problem is what surrounds it in search results: lookalike sites wrapping it in fees or collecting card details the court never sees. One domain rule sorts all of it. And it has gaps — not every court or ticket type — so the citation controls.

The domain check

The official door is AZ Courts: Making a Payment at azcourts.gov, run by Arizona Judicial Branch. It does not cover every court or ticket type — the notes on your citation control. Linked from azcourts.gov/selfservicecenter/Making-a-Payment ('most courts'). PayNearMe cash option. Finder is Arizona Bar Foundation tool linked from azcourts.gov. • Clone sites chase "pay Arizona ticket" searches and wrap the real portal in made-up "service fees" — or collect your details on a form the court never sees. The official door adds no middleman.
  • The tell is the domain, never the design. Type the official address yourself or use the links on this page — skipping the search results entirely is the simplest defense.
  • Paying online usually closes the case as a guilty finding, and any points post to your license. Many states have an option (a course, a plea alternative, or a hearing) that only exists BEFORE you pay — check yours first. What a paid ticket does to insurance →
  • The response deadline runs from your citation date whether you pay or fight — missing it creates a bigger problem than the ticket. Deadline timeline + calendar reminder →
  • Where do lookalikes come from? There is no national ticket database — our 51-jurisdiction directory of official doors covers every state. The official-portals directory →

Not sure what the citation is actually charging, which court it names, or when the clock runs out? Photograph it — the scanner reads every legible line and routes you to your options. The photo is processed in memory and never stored. How Ticket Scan works →
